“When we started in the early 1990s there were two options: It was going to be the nursing home or my daughter’s home,” Hogan says. With more than 900 offices offering nonmedical senior care and companionship services, Hogan says one of the biggest obstacles caregivers face is lack of awareness of the in-home services that exist.
